I had a friend who studied for a Masters in Publishing and claimed she didn’t understand anyone who published via the traditional publishing house route. Well I work for a publisher, so I’m glad they do, but for my latest project I have decided not to seek publication via the traditional routes but to go it alone and publish it myself. Is this mad? Slightly. Easy? God, no. Fun? Very.
